The most wonderful flower,
my how you have grown.
the smallest of seeds,
from the darkness, you shone.
With the mightiest of force,
your petals reached air.
the roots that fed you,
now hold you with care.
In a sleepy garden bed,
you will not stay.
your home is the wild,
with thistles, you play.
The butterflies keep abreast,
the pistils that part.
at every sunrise,
they bring back her heart.
The seasons will test your stem,
cold storms and spring dew.
but wherever you bloom,
I'll always love you.
